From January to August 2024, Mexico’s Statistics Agency (INEGI) reported a steady rise in tourism spending. Visitors to Mexico spent 5.33 percent more compared to the same period in 2023, bringing the total to a whopping $20.7 billion USD.
In addition to increased spending, the number of international tourists visiting Mexico also saw a boost. There was a 6.63 percent jump in arrivals, with a total of 3.45 million international tourists landing in the country during this period.
