Los Cabos Did Well in Recent Travel Pow Wow

Last week, from April 8 to 12, the “Tianguis Turistico,” or Tourist Open Market, lit up Acapulco, cementing its status as Latin America’s premier tourism industry gathering. Despite facing challenges such as a room shortage from Hurricane Otis’ impact last October, the event drew key players from the tourism sector.

Los Cabos made a strong showing with representatives from the tourism fund (FITURCA) leading the charge. They hustled through 1,500 meetings, connecting with tour operators and airlines from around the globe, looking to cement and expand their tourism partnerships. Though overall attendance dipped slightly due to the reduced accommodation options, the spirit and drive at Tianguis Turistico remained as vibrant as ever, highlighting the resilience and ongoing appeal of Latin America’s tourism industry.
