Last week, the San Jorge ferry boat that covers the Mazatlan-La Paz route broke down at the Mazatlan pier, blocking access to one side of it to other boats. Therefore, several ferry boats sailed over to Topolobampo, but that route is already working at a 100% capacity. The delay at this point is of one week, increasing the cost of goods inside the boats and delaying the arrival of fuel, propane and other products. An additional ferry boat has been acquired, but it will take 4 months to get here.
