The Aquamayan Adventures company that was planning to build a cruise ship dock in Pichilingue, La Paz, has announced that the project has been cancelled. The state’s urban planning agency director, Lourdes Gutierrez, stated that the environmental conditions of the area were deemed “not viable” for such a project, which had received lots of opposition from La Paz residents and environmental activists.
