Although in recent months the volunteer Cabo San Lucas fire department has received donations of suits, boots, a defibrillator and other stuff, anti-fire equipment is scarce.
At this point they only have one firetruck, a rescue vehicle, a water truck and an ambulance, plus a firetruck that is in the shop now, after suffering a car accident. If you visit them – at the corner before you get to McDonalds – you will see several firetrucks, but they are out of order and finding parts is difficult, as they are old trucks, discarded from U.S. fire departments.
