Kiss Goodbye to Daylight Saving Time

Mexico’s president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador signed a proposition to eliminate Daylight Saving Time and sent it to Congress for final approval to end officially the controversial summer/winter change of hours. An exception for the northern border states, which follow the U.S. hours, is included. Last year, energy savings amounted to only 0.16 percent, equivalent to nearly $57 million USD.
