Southern Baja’s Congress Approves Abortion

With a majority vote of 16 in favor and 3 against, the Southern Baja Congress decided not to prosecute women who abort, as it was in the past. Abortion is now allowed up to 12 weeks of pregnancy. The prior law was challenged by an independent group of concerned women and their attorneys.
