Unraveling the mystery of an unusual discovery
A surprising discovery in La Paz led to a dramatic rescue operation by the Attorney General’s Office of Baja California Sur. In a raid on a residence in the town of San Pedro, authorities uncovered not only 740 doses of marijuana and 894 doses of methamphetamine but also a 9mm weapon with spent cartridges and an unexpectedly caged tiger.
While the narcotics and the firearm were sent for forensic analysis to further the ongoing investigation, the caged tiger was transferred to a wildlife center in Mexicali. There, it will receive the specialized care it desperately needs.
Authorities continue their efforts to determine the responsibilities and connections behind this unusual case, delving deeper into the circumstances that led to a wild tiger being kept in such conditions.
