The Arrival of Seasonal Birds Has Begun

This time it is the “Gallitos Marinos,” or Elegant Tern (Sterna Elegans), which have been spotted in the San Jose del Cabo estuary. More birds are expected to arrive and begin mating, just like the ones in this photo. They are protected, and you  will see beach areas fenced around the estuary, which mark where eggs have been deposited. You will also see cute signs around – please do not drive any vehicle on the beach, it is illegal.
