Don’t Park in Designated Spaces for People with Disabilities.

Fines in Los Cabos can reach up to $5,500 USD.

In early 2025, authorities recorded 12 violations for improper use of these spaces, according to the Directorate of Traffic and Roads.

Warrant Officer José David Pérez Torres, director of Traffic and Roads in Los Cabos, emphasized that these blue-marked parking spots are strategically placed near main entrances and elevators in public areas, institutions, and shopping centers to improve accessibility for individuals with mobility limitations.

“In the previous year, 182 violations were recorded. Increased surveillance has led to fewer infractions, showing improved compliance,” he said.

However, some violations persist, particularly among individuals who need these spaces but lack the required official permit. Authorities urge eligible residents to obtain the necessary documentation through the Municipal System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF) to avoid fines.
