Just in case you were wondering
Just a couple of days ago, CAPUFE (Caminos y Puentes Federales), or "Federal Road and Bridge Commission", announced that the fee to and from the San Jose Airport increased by 6% starting on January 10th.
The increase included all the concessioned highways in the country.
According to CAPUFE, this rate adjustment allows the resources collected from tolls to be used to cover operating and maintenance expenses of the roads. The last time the rate increased was November 2023.
From San José del Cabo to the airport in San José del Cabo, it will go from $2 to almost $3 US per car. From San José del Cabo Airport to Cabo San Lucas Airport, it will go from $5.35 to $5.65 US per car. From San José del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas, it will go from $4.15 to $4.45 US per car.
This will impact on the price of your ride. Also, take into consideration that the fee for transportation companies and taxis might be different. The above-mentioned increases apply to cars only.
