Get ready for some Colombian immersion this weekend. The Sudcalifornian Institute of Culture (ISC) has announced that the third Latin American Cultural Festival will be held in La Paz on October 11th and 12th. The event will feature conversations, craft exhibitions and of course traditional gastronomy from both the host, Mexico, and its guest, Colombia.
The festival aims to promote cultural exchange between the two nations and celebrate the diversity within the rich Latin American culture. The festivities will include musical performances, folk dances, craft as well as food exhibits showcasing traditional dishes from Colombia and other Latin American countries. The festival will take place from 6:00 pm on Friday on the esplanade by the kiosk on the Malecon.
Additional activities planned are concerts, panel discussions and book presentations exploring the cultural influence of Colombia in Baja California Sur.
