While there has been little fanfare or social media promotion of its event, Transmar Automotriz Cortes Volkswagen in San José del Cabo will host a Dog Adoption Fair on Sunday, July 20, along with a kibble collection drive to support local animal shelters.
The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., also marks the dealership’s third time hosting the event. Attendees are encouraged to donate dry or canned dog food, which will benefit shelters in the Los Cabos area, including Acre Dogs.
Organizers aim to collect 16,000 kilos of dog food nationwide by the end of the campaign on Sunday, July 27.
Although only 10 dogs will be available for adoption at the fair, the broader goal is to inspire visitors to connect with local shelters and consider adopting or referring others to give a dog a forever home.
