More Beaches Opened to The Public!

Hopefully, nobody will stop this movement now

For the people, it’s not just about going to the beach anymore; it’s also about defending the public use of natural spaces, protecting local culture, and resisting the advance of gentrification.

This week, access points were opened to several beaches in the Todos Santos area to ensure residents and visitors could freely enjoy these natural spaces. The beaches included La Bocana, Palmar de La Pastora, and El Faro, which had been closed for a long time due to obstacles placed in the area. Heavy machinery was used to remove stones that had been placed in the path by individuals.

The reopening was carried out this week by local authorities, and the news was well received by the community, which has denounced the closure of beach access in this area of the Pacific for years. Many residents applauded the action on social media.

Please, remember that the La Paz City Council launched an app that allows you to report a closed or difficult to access beach, using the La Paz app (available at Google Play or iStore) or by writing to pl**********@la***.mx. Free access to the beaches is a constitutional right.
