And they celebrated big time!
The 2025 edition of L’Étape La Paz by Le Tour de France concluded this Sunday amid a festive atmosphere, marked by applause, cider, and recognition for the cyclists who dominated the route.
With more than 1,200 competitors and thousands of attendees, the competition produced memorable moments in sport and community. Twelve national winners emerged: three in the men’s long route, three in the women’s, and three men and three women in the short route.
At the end of the awards ceremony, there was a scene worthy of an international celebration. Bottles of cider were uncorked and showered on the winners, amidst music, shouts of support, and the presence of state officials who shared the joy with the cycling community.
Amid hugs and photographs, the day closed with contagious enthusiasm and a unanimous ovation for the event’s organizers.
With the conclusion of this stage, La Paz consolidates its position as the national venue for high-level cycling, setting a sporting and tourism precedent that, according to local authorities, paves the way for major events such as a possible Ironman in Los Cabos.
