Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro claimed his 16th victory of the season with a commanding performance at the 88th edition of the Giro di Veneto. The 21-year-old Team UAE Emirates rider displayed remarkable endurance and tactical precision, launching a decisive attack 10 kilometers from the finish and holding his lead to the end.
Del Toro completed the 161-kilometer (100-mile) course in 3 hours, 24 minutes, and 29 seconds, finishing more than 20 seconds ahead of his closest rival.
The race featured a demanding mix of flat sections and hilly terrain, including four laps with five ascents of the Torricella Massimiliana, testing both the strength and strategy of the riders. French cyclist Pavel Sivakov finished 22 seconds behind in second place, followed closely by Norway’s Jonas Abrahamsen, who placed third just one second later.
The victory reinforced Del Toro’s consistency and dominance throughout the season, capping an exceptional year. Entering the race ranked third in the International Cycling Union (UCI) individual standings, Del Toro once again confirmed his status as one of professional cycling’s most promising young talents.
