More Speed Bumps All Around

As many as needed until people learn to slow down

As part of the safety and traffic control efforts on Los Cabos streets, the Ministry of Traffic and Public Safety has been working on the installation of speed bumps, painted pedestrian crossings and curbs.

These projects are being implemented in both Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. They aim to encourage drivers to reduce their speed and prevent traffic accidents, while also ensuring that speed limits are adhered to, and pedestrian safety is prioritized.

Finally, drivers are reminded to yield to pedestrians at crosswalks and to observe the different colors on the curbs. In Baja California, the colors on the curbs serve a specific purpose. Red indicates a no-parking zone.Period! Yellow is reserved for public transportation, where buses stop to load and unload passengers, blue is designated for people with disabilities, as is the case worldwide, and green is for establishments that pay a fee for their customers to park in front of their businesses. All violations of these regulations can result in fines, and in some cases, cars may be towed and impounded. The retrieval process will be a tour to hell! Capiche?
