A new local handicraft store has opened its doors in the Cultural Center of La Paz, showcasing a wide selection of items renowned for their quality and authenticity. The store features artisanal jams made from local fruits, traditional beverages, typical sweets, unique sauces and dressings, artisanal cheeses, and machaca from the region.

Machaca, for those unfamiliar, is traditionally dried meat, usually spiced beef or pork, rehydrated and used in popular local dishes such as burritos and often paired with eggs.

This venue is dedicated to promoting, animating, preserving, and disseminating cultural and social historical heritage, the South Californian identity, and artistic, scientific, and cultural manifestations of all kinds. It offers a continually broad array to the public. “It also aims to support the city’s entrepreneurs, providing locals and visitors a chance to learn about and purchase products that reflect the Southern California identity and traditions,” emphasized Víctor Caballero, director of the Cultural Center.

The invitation is open and free to the public, enabling everyone to contribute by purchasing these creations, thereby helping them reach a broader audience and enjoying these products firsthand.
