Burned Down Homes in Santiago Being Rebuilt

The fourteen homes that were completely destroyed by the palm trees fire in the rural town of Santiago, about an hour north of San Jose, are being rebuilt by the city government. Professor Oscar Leggs, Mayor of Los Cabos was there to break ground on the construction, cementing the first two cinder blocks. Leggs was accompanied by other government officials and many Santiago residents. Right after the fire, concerned citizens from all around Los Cabos sent help donating beds, stoves, blankets, clothes, shoes, food and many more items to help the families affected.
