Feds Will Build Solar Plants in Los Cabos

Fonatur, the federal agency that developed San Jose del Cabo and the Cabo San Lucas marina, has announced its plan to build three solar plants in Los Cabos to generate clean energy for our tourist destination. Los Cabos electricity comes from La Paz, where it is generated by burning fuel. While La Paz is building a wind powered plant, we will get our solar plants this year, said Rogelio Jimenez, the Fonatur’s head honcho.
