New Tourism Proposal for Visitors to Los Cabos

The first stage of the “Ruta del Patrimonio” (Heritage Route) was recently unveiled by key members of the Los Cabos City Council and COPARMEX, a national business organization representing a diverse range of Mexican industries. This initiative is designed to preserve and promote the rich cultural and historical legacy of the municipality of Los Cabos.

The project features a tour of 17 iconic sites that tell the story of Los Cabos’ heritage and identity. These sites include religious landmarks, plazas, parks, monuments, historic buildings, and notable geographical features.

Each location along the route will be equipped with an informational display that includes historical background, archival photographs, bilingual content in Spanish and English, and a QR code offering access to multimedia content for an enriched visitor experience.

During the project’s presentation, Ana Navarro, Municipal Director of Tourism, emphasized that the initiative will deepen the connection between residents and visitors by highlighting the roots that shape the community. She noted that each site represents an essential piece of the municipality’s shared history.

Héctor Segovia, President of COPARMEX Los Cabos, added that the project exemplifies how collaboration between the public and private sectors can lead to tangible benefits for citizens while fostering pride in local heritage.

The Heritage Route marks a major step toward a cultural tourism model that preserves, celebrates, and shares the identity of Los Cabos with the world.
