It is important to know that agents are not authorized to accept cash payments under any circumstances. Please avoid doing this, one because it could be taken as could be interpreted as a bribe, which is illegal, and two, because we all are trying not to encourage this behavior of our police.
All payments must be made through the app or online to make the process safer and clearer. Now, if you cannot pay by the app, these can be paid at the Departamento de Infracciones (traffic violations department), at Colima Street between Melitón Albañez and México streets. They take Visa, MasterCard and cash.
