Become a Superhero, Power Up Your Run, Help Others Shine

The “Superheroes de Corazón” (Superheroes from the Heart) race is a yearly event, with all proceeds donated to the Children’s Heart Association.

Participants are encouraged to dress as superheroes to spread empathy and joy for the cause.

This event aims not only to raise funds but also to foster community spirit and encourage physical activity among families in Los Cabos. There are 1,000 spots open for runners

This year marks the tenth edition of the race organized by the Corazón de Niño A.C. Foundation, celebrating with exciting surprises. One highlight includes commemorative T-shirts showcasing images from the previous nine editions of Baja California Sur’s most notable charity race.

The race encourages participation from state and municipal associations, public and private sports clubs, and the general public, aiming to be a family-friendly event open to all ages. In La Paz, the race will be held on June 8, 2025, at 7:00 a.m., beginning and ending at the Kiosk on the Malecón. The top three finishers in each category will receive trophies.

To participate, individuals must complete a registration form and pay a fee: 600 pesos for adults (for 10, 5, and 2.5 kilometers) and 500 pesos for children. Team registrations must be submitted as group applications. Registration is now open for 1,000 runners in La Paz and 250 in Los Cabos and will continue until one day before packet distribution or until spots are filled.

Registration can be done through the electronic form available on the official website www.corazondenino.org. Participants can obtain their registration code at the Corazón de Niño offices located at Allende and Durango Street, Unit A, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to the association’s administrator, La Paz has space for 800 adult runners and 200 children. There will be designated areas at the start and finish points where runners can leave their belongings (no valuables) in provided bags. Drinking water stations will be available at kilometers 2.5, 5, 7.5, and at the finish line, alongside first-aid services and qualified medical personnel throughout the race route.

Packet distribution will occur on Saturday, June 7, at the boardwalk kiosk from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Participants must show a printed exemption form generated during the registration process to receive their race packet, as there will be no registration or packet distribution on the day of the race.

This year’s race will also feature circus performances at the Kids’ pick-up and various points along the route, adding an extra layer of fun for participants!
