Palmilla Invades Federal Zone, Again

The very exclusive Club 96 restaurant in the Palmilla development in San Jose del Cabo asked for permission to extend their seating area into the beach and it was granted. However, on an inspection visit by the Federal Zone authorities and local activists, it was clear that they extended too far, as much as 15 yards into the federal zone. Palmilla is one of the dearest beaches for local residents and beach areas in Mexico are federal property, so they can’t do that. Expect some protests and bulldozing of their new digs. Stay tuned.
