Ship on Fire! Ship on Fire!

Just one day after a fishing boat burned down in Cabo San Lucas in front of the Sheraton resort, a ferry boat caught on fire 3.7 miles northeast of La Paz. It was the “San Guillermo,” owned by the TMC company which was traveling from Topolobampo on the mainland to the ferry boat’s port at Pichilingue, La Paz. The fire, according to  the crew, started when corn cargo caught on fire, which the same crew managed to control before a Navy fire boat arrived. Some 80 people were evacuated, uninjured. The port authorities and the Navy are carrying the investigation. Only the corn was affected and now there’s lots of popcorn for sale. Haha.
