La Paz is going through a cultural, artistic, and international renaissance. Whether you are visiting or live here full-time, you are invited to be part of Azul Profundo Fashion Fest SS26, an international fashion show fundraiser on April 16, 2026.
Leading this initiative is Wendy Gómez, the Mexican director of Spain’s Revista Quantum’s.
Revista Quantum’s is an international digital magazine focused on fashion, art, and lifestyle. Originally founded in Argentina in 2018, it has evolved into a global platform that connects creative industries across cultures.
The publication has supported the Onco Reto BCS association since its inception. The latter, which is a leading Cancer non-profit civil association based in La Paz, is dedicated to the prevention and early detection of breast cancer. Founded in 2008, the organization focuses on supporting women through education and health initiatives to combat the high mortality rates. As per Patricia de Ruffo, president of Onco Reto, between March 2025 and March 2026, the association delivered supplies to 100 patients. Among the materials they distribute are silicone prostheses, cancer bras, and lymphedema sleeves. The president stressed that breast cancer treatments represent inaccessible costs for most patients, and that there is increasingly less institutional support to cover them.
Events like this one help immensely.
This year’s Azul Profundo Fashion Fest is an international-caliber event created and coordinated by industry professionals to support this worthy cause. Joining this effort are Juan Borges (CEO of Luxestyle Consulting and Director of Quantum’s Spain), Suky Treviño, Event Planner, and the support of IVN PRODUCCIONES.
This year’s runway marks a milestone under the general direction of Wendy Gómez and the strategic, global vision of Juan Borges, whose career in Spain brings an international standard to the festival. Casting and runway coordination are led with elegance by Karelly Romo, Miss La Paz.
Wendy explains that her vision for this year’s event was beyond fashion, and it was important to her to equally highlight the artistic, gastronomic, and artisanal culture and talents of Baja California Sur. Tickets cost 1,200 MX per person and grant you access to your personal smart blue bracelet. This includes your entrance, the fashion show, food and drinks from participating restaurants, artistic performances, and a curated artisanal market.
You’ll get to enjoy the performance of electric violinist Andrea Johanna, Clique Studio, Balance Ballet, and Amorali Academia de Arte Flamenco, ending the night with music by Pöl Gaynor and DJ Ivan, along with signature cocktails by Suky Treviño.
According Wendy, a fundamental pillar of this edition is the work of IVN PRODUCCIONES, who are creating customized sets and exclusive environments for each designer, allowing every SS26 collection to be presented in the exact atmosphere its creators envisioned. As the beneficiary of this major event, Onco Reto will receive 30% of the proceeds from ticket sales.
In addition, within the Arte Zone, artists such as Carlos César Díaz, Andrea Gaume, Francisco Barrón, Orso Angulo, and renowned photographers including Miguel Ángel de la Cueva, Alfredo Martínez Fernández, Gabriel Larios Heredia, Alfredo Zayas, and Paola Ruffo will donate works to be auctioned, with 100% of those proceeds going directly to the cause.
The runway segment will showcase Alfredo Villaseñor, presenting his SS26 collection in a unique collaboration with visual artist Mikel Archilla. Also participating are renowned designer Roberto Victorio, emerging brand Street is The Office, Tirza Mx by Sara García, who will launch their new image and collection, and students of Universidad Mundial.
With only 250 tickets available, Wendy encourages you to get your tickets now. She also wanted to give her appreciation to all those mentioned in the article for their generous collaboration. Additional thanks to recognize those who made the press conference possible, Salón Azula for the venue, Olivia Gómez of Oli’s Cuisine and Baja Coffee Service for appetizers and coffee, and DJ Rochin for sound. Gratitude also goes to Casa Mero for hosting visiting talent, as well as Essencia Pilates and Casa for their thoughtful contributions.
