Good news for the folks in La Paz! In the past few months, there’s been a series of repairs to several water well pumping installations, which has been a real game-changer in addressing the water scarcity issues in the area. It’s a step-by-step process, but each repair means a little less thirst for the community.
The latest triumph in this endeavor is the repair of Well # 15-B. This well is now adding nearly 3 gallons per second of water to the city’s system. It might not sound like a lot, but in a place where every drop counts, this is a significant boost.
But that’s not all. The restoration of several water basins in the surrounding mountains is also making a big difference. These basins are crucial for agriculture and cattle breeding, and their restoration means more consistent and reliable water sources for these vital activities.
The ambitious goal is to restore a total of 50 water basins. This long-term project promises to enhance water availability not just for human consumption but also for the local agriculture and livestock, which are key to the region’s economy and way of life.
