The East Cape Guild first first-ever Songwriters Music Festival was an enormous success raising over $38,000 to fund scholarships for high school and college students from the East Cape of Baja California Sur. Songwriters affiliated with Nashville’s Combustion Music together with other songwriters from the United States and Canada performed their original songs for audiences in Los Barriles, East Cape, in the first fundraising events of its kind.
The event was so successful the Guild will host a second songwriters’ music festival on March 1 and 2 this year. The 2024 Guild Songwriters concert will be hosted by the Palmas Cortez Hotel and will again involve songwriters affiliated with Nashville’s Combustion Music. Details of the 2024 event, including a private VIP dinner with the songwriters and a concert open to the public to be announced later.
The East Cape Guild is a fully volunteer-operated non-profit organization that has been raising money for education for over 26 years.
