There’s some interesting stuff happening on the roads around Cabo these days. The city government decided to throw in some new speed signs along the fourlane road, beginning from El Tezal zone near Costco. The twist? Well, they’ve dropped the speed limit down to a cool 60 kilometers per hour. Yep, you heard that right.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for safer roads, but here’s the kicker: they didn’t bother to remove the old 90 km/hr signs as they went along. Picture this: you’re cruising down the road, trying to be a law-abiding citizen at 60 km/hr, and then bam! You see that good old 90 km/hr sign still hanging there, mocking you like it’s having a good laugh.
But hey, don’t worry too much. This change is only for the entrance to Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. So, it’s like a little experiment. Let’s see how this whole speed limit shuffle works out when they’re done installing those signs. Stay tuned, folks, and drive safe out there!
