Tourist Tax Will Be Well Observed

Members of local business associations will watch over the $6 million USD that the government expects to obtain from the tourist tax.

Following a meeting of the Los Cabos Mayor with presidents of the  Los Cabos Coordinating Council, the Hotel association, the timeshare association and other influential groups, we were informed that a trust fund will be created. It will be managed by a combination of a majority of private businesses and a minority of public servants. The revenue will be used in infrastructure in impoverished neighborhoods and works of social benefit like sports and ecology.
