Mexico’s consumer protection agency, known as Profeco for its looong name in Spanish, revealed the results of an investigation. Using only basic products for every household, they found that Walmart is the most expensive in our Southern Baja state – 973 pesos – and the least expensive Soriana Hiper (922.30 pesos, followed by Bodega Aurrerá. The investigation was done between December 13 and 17 and Walmart appeared in the same position in eight more states throughout Mexico.
