The Inhabited Body

Discover the power of movement and creative expression at “El Cuerpo Habitado”, an immersive artistic residency led by Yair Cuyás. Taking place from August 3–6, 2026, at the Casa de la Cultura “Prof. Alfredo Green González” in San José del Cabo, this four-day laboratory invites participants to explore the intersection of movement, improvisation, and dance theatre in a collaborative and inspiring environment.
Designed for both beginners and experienced performers, the residency offers a unique opportunity to develop body awareness, creativity, and communication through movement-based practices. Participants will engage in guided exercises, improvisation techniques, and collective creative processes that encourage self-expression, active listening, and artistic exploration. Throughout the program, attendees will work alongside fellow participants in a supportive atmosphere that values experimentation, collaboration, and personal growth.
Held daily from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the residency is open to anyone interested in movement and the performing arts, regardless of previous experience. Space is limited, and participation is available through prior registration with a voluntary contribution. Whether you are an artist, student, performer, or simply someone looking to connect with creativity in a meaningful way, “El Cuerpo Habitado” offers an enriching experience that celebrates the body as a powerful instrument for storytelling, expression, and collective creation.
