Celebrate the rich heritage and traditions of La Capilla at the La Capilla Traditional Festival 2026, a community event that brings together culture, history, music, dance, and religious traditions in a festive atmosphere for visitors of all ages. Organized with the support of the Los Cabos Institute of Culture and the Arts and local authorities, this annual celebration honors the customs and identity of the region through a variety of cultural and community activities.

The festivities begin on Saturday, July 11, with an evening of artistic and cultural performances featuring traditional folkloric dance groups, including Ángeles de California, Dance La Ribera, Bemalcu, and Baja Sur. The program also includes the official presentation of local authorities and the much-anticipated coronation of S.M.G. Luz Mar I, who will reign as the Queen of the La Capilla Traditional Festival 2026. The celebration continues with a lively community dance accompanied by live regional music, creating a joyful atmosphere for families and visitors to enjoy.

The festival continues on Thursday, July 16, with activities that highlight the community’s religious and cultural traditions. The day begins with a Holy Mass in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, followed by the traditional cabalgata (horseback procession), where local riders travel together in a symbolic celebration of faith and regional heritage. This long-standing tradition reflects the strong cultural roots and community spirit that have been preserved throughout generations.
