Join one of the most exciting coastal fishing competitions of the year at the 2026 Shore Fishing Tournament (“Torneo de Pesca Deportiva de Orilla”), part of the traditional Fiestas Día del Marino “La Playa 2026” celebrations in San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur. Taking place on May 30 and 31, 2026, this family-friendly sporting event brings together fishing enthusiasts, local communities, and visitors for two days of outdoor adventure, friendly competition, and celebration by the sea.

The tournament will be held in the coastal area of La Playa, San José del Cabo, offering participants the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Baja California Sur while competing in a fun and exciting shore fishing challenge. Organized as part of the regional Serial de Pesca de Orilla B.C.S., the event highlights the importance of marine culture, sport fishing traditions, and community participation in one of Mexico’s most recognized fishing destinations.

Registration will take place on May 30 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with an entry fee of 400 pesos per participant. Children under 12 years old can participate completely free of charge, encouraging families and young anglers to become part of the experience. The official fishing competition will begin on May 31 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, when participants will compete to achieve the heaviest catches and earn prizes in multiple categories.
