Marea Violeta is the first women’s shoreline fishing tournament organized in La Paz, Baja California Sur, created to promote inclusion, empowerment, and participation in recreational fishing for women of all experience levels. The event will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Playa San Juan de la Costa, bringing together fishing enthusiasts for a day filled with competition, community, and outdoor fun by the sea.

Presented with support from local organizations including the Municipal Women’s Institute and FONMAR, the tournament offers a guaranteed prize pool of $1162 dollars. Registration begins at 6:30 AM, followed by the official start of the competition at 7:00 AM. The event is designed to encourage participation from both beginners and experienced anglers, making it an accessible and welcoming experience for everyone interested in shoreline fishing.
