Los Cabos Promoted at ITB Berlin (International Tourism Exchange)

The world’s largest tourism trade show.

European tourists, particularly Germans, are drawn to Los Cabos for its unique blend of desert, ocean, and mountains. They stay an average of 11 days and spend approximately 55,490 pesos ($2,800 USD) per visit, seeking authentic experiences and a deep connection with nature.

Since November 2024, the influx of European tourists has contributed over 360 million pesos to the local economy, reinforcing Los Cabos and Baja California Sur as premium destinations for luxury, adventure, and immersive travel.

The launch of Condor Airlines’ direct Frankfurt–Los Cabos route has significantly boosted demand. Between November 3, 2024, and April 27, 2025, more than 13,000 seats have been sold. This route not only attracts German travelers but also serves key European markets, including Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, Poland, Spain, and the UK.

As part of its European expansion strategy, Los Cabos had a strong presence at ITB Berlin, one of the world’s largest tourism fairs. Before the event’s official start, Los Cabos participated in an exclusive meeting hosted by Unique, presenting its offerings to 25 luxury travel advisors. It was the only destination from Mexico and Latin America at this gathering.

During ITB, held annually in March at Messe Berlin, Los Cabos conducted over 45 business meetings and 13 media engagements to explore collaborations and increase media exposure. Additionally, the destination participated in an exclusive event with key media representatives, strengthening its presence in the German market and fostering new partnerships.

As part of ITB Berlin, Los Cabos hosted a private event with business partners, media, and tourism providers to showcase its nature and adventure experiences. A leading adventure tourism operator highlighted offerings such as glamping, water safaris, and biodiversity encounters in the Sea of Cortez, emphasizing Los Cabos’ commitment to sustainable tourism and conservation.
