On Sunday, December 15, the Cabo Church joins the Feeding Los Cabos Kids organization in holding a Mexican Fiesta featuring Donna's 11th annual Gift Basket Auction from 3-5 pm at the Cabo San Lucas Country Club.
Admission is 1000 pesos or $50 USD and includes a taco bar and a complimentary drink. There will be a live musician for entertainment. It's a great way to bid on last minute Christmas gifts. The organizers anticipate having around 60 baskets, and 12-15 gift certificates from area businesses. Last year the certificates auctioned Golf tee times, Spas, and dinner at several restaurants like Flora Farms and Lorretta.
The money raised will help sponsor a Posada for each of the 14 kitchens operated by Feeding lOs Cabos Kids where each kid gets a toy, a special meal, and a small bag of candy. No Piñatas breaking because, well, who wants 100 kids swinging a stick at each other? Haha.
Then here’s another way you can help. Join the groups’ Candy Drive. Donate candy (non-melting type). All the candy is being collected at Cabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas downtown and on the 26th, the Caboholics will get together to create 1500-2000 bags for the kids. Now, here’s another group that loves to help our needy children.
If you are interested in donating gift certificates, contact the group through Facebook or their website feedingloscaboskids.org. Or they can email or call Ken Riggs, email: kriggs@cabochurch.org. Cell +1 501 680 5144.
