The new Los Angeles–La Paz flight by Alaska Airlines made its debut this past Wednesday, marking an exciting new connection between Southern California and Baja Sur’s charming capital. This route will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, bringing more travelers directly to La Paz without the need for connections.
The flight is operated by a sleek Embraer 176 aircraft with seating for 76 passengers. It’s expected to be a game-changer for La Paz’s growing tourism sector, which has already seen an 8.3% increase in visitors from January to October this year. With this demand, whispers of a third weekly flight being added in early 2025 are already circulating.
More visitors mean more opportunities for La Paz to showcase its tranquil beaches, vibrant marine life, and rich culture. So, a big welcome to Alaska Airlines and their passengers! Here’s to more adventures and growth for our beautiful Baja Sur.
