Exciting news for La Paz! The $26 million USD project to build a new dam in our city has officially been approved by the national water commission. Right now, geophysics studies are underway to ensure everything is in order before construction begins.
The next step? Securing the necessary funding from the Hacienda ministry (which is like the IRS or Canada Revenue for us), and once that’s sorted, construction is expected to kick off early next year.
This new dam, stretching 656 feet long, is set to bring significant benefits to our community, providing reliable water resources to over 20,000 families. It’s a big step forward for La Paz, and we can’t wait to see the project come to life.
