La Ribera Fishing Tournament Announced.With a guaranteed purse of nearly 14 grand, the La Ribera 2024 fishing tourney takes place from August 16 to 17. The biggest Marlin, Dorado and Tuna caught will take cash prizes, with the Marlin winner taking half of the money, while the Dorado and Tuna will split the rest 50/50. Registration will be open on August 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the La Ribera beach, while the tournament will start at 6:30 a.m. on August 17. For information call 624-129-6525 (Spanish).
Tourist Developer Donates Ambulances.Grupo Questro, developer of the San Jose Marina, Cabo Real and other resorts donated three ambulances to the San Jose del Cabo Fire Department. La Paz Airport Breaks Record. Tourism in La Paz continues to grow and will grow more next year. In 2023, the La Paz airport received 1.1 million passengers and already in the first semester of this year has welcomed 600,000 passengers, 19% more than in the same period of last year.
