Hotel Association Willing to Pick Up Trash

Due to the city government’s struggles in managing the overflow of trash, the Los Cabos Hotel Association has stepped in with a proactive initiative called “Adopt a Kilometer.” Each hotel lining the four-lane highway has volunteered to take responsibility for cleaning up trash, watering the median, and painting the curbs. This community effort aims to beautify and maintain the area, benefiting both residents and tourists alike.

However, progress hinges on federal approval, as the four-lane highway falls under their jurisdiction. Unfortunately, delays in obtaining the necessary permissions are hindering these efforts. It begs the question: why the holdup when there are willing volunteers ready to contribute? The initiative underscores the community’s commitment to environmental stewardship and improving local infrastructure. Stay tuned for updates as they navigate bureaucratic hurdles to get the green light and start making a visible difference along Los Cabos’ main thoroughfare.
