Governor Victor Castro of Baja California Sur recently welcomed a generous donation of 25 new ambulances from the Fund for Public Charity. Representatives from the fund were present at the ceremony, highlighting their commitment to improving healthcare services across the state. Of the ambulances, two will be stationed in La Paz, with others allocated to Mulege, Loreto, Comondu, Los Cabos, and rural areas where access to medical care is critical.
In addition to the ambulances, the donation included essential medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and other aids, benefiting residents in need throughout the region. The Fund for Public Charity, established in 1861 by President Benito Juárez, continues to play a vital role in supporting health initiatives for vulnerable populations across Mexico.
This initiative underscores the importance of collaboration between government and charitable organizations in enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality. It’s a significant step forward in ensuring that all residents of Baja California Sur have access to essential medical services.
