The BAMX of Southern California Food Bank and the ASA organization are collecting non-perishable food in commemoration of World Food Day, with the deadline to donate being May 28. Their goal is to gather 12,000 lbs. of food, which will benefit 50 families for 6 months.
The items required are lentils, peas, pasta soups, tuna cans, and whole milk in Tetrapak boxes. Donations are welcome from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
In Cabo San Lucas, you can drop off your donations on Morelos Avenue between Adolfo Ruiz Cortines and 5 de Febrero streets, just one block from the Catholic church.
In San Jose del Cabo, donations can be made at the El Ganzo Community Center in La Playita.
For those in La Paz, head over to #1270 Pitahaya Street between Agustin Olachea and La Rivera in the Las Garzas neighborhood.
