Big news for families living in high-risk areas in our community! The National head of DIF (Desarrollo Integral de la Familia), the government-run charity organization, and our state Governor have joined hands for a heartwarming initiative. They’ve agreed to build 500 small homes, offering a much-needed lifeline to families currently residing in precarious locations like dry river beds.
This project is a beacon of hope for 500 families who have been living under the constant threat posed by their risky surroundings. The plan is to relocate these families to safer, more stable homes, providing them not just shelter, but also a sense of security and dignity.
The funding for this noble cause is a collaborative effort. DIF will be footing the bill for 300 of these homes, showing the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities. The remaining 200 homes will be financed by the Los Cabos business association, known as the CCC, demonstrating the power of public-private partnerships in driving positive change.
It’s initiatives like these that strengthen the fabric of our community, showing compassion and care for those in need. As these families move into their new homes, they’re not just gaining a roof over their heads; they’re stepping into a brighter, safer future. This collaboration between DIF and the CCC is a shining example of how working together can make a real difference in people’s lives.
