Tropical storm Lidia made quite an entrance in La Paz yesterday, drenching the city with a generous dose of rain – somewhere between 55.2 and 97.5 mm of it, to be precise. But it wasn’t just La Paz that got a taste of Lidia’s watery embrace; San Jose del Cabo experienced some precipitation too. And if you were up late, you might have heard the pitter-patter of raindrops in Cabo San Lucas right at midnight.
Thankfully, as of now, there haven’t been any reports of significant damage. It seems like Lidia was in a relatively mild mood during her visit. However, she’s not quite done with her tour just yet. Lidia has set her sights on Sinaloa state, so if you’re in her path, keep an eye out for some potentially treacherous surf and rip currents in Southern Baja. And don’t stash away your umbrellas just yet, because she’s leaving behind a parting gift in the form of rain, expected to persist through Tuesday. Stay cautious, folks, and stay dry!
