Oh, how heartwarming is this? On a sunny Friday, the Los Cabos Sea Turtle Protection Network did something truly special. They released a whopping 2,300 Olive Ridley baby sea turtles into the wild. Can you imagine the sight of those tiny turtles making their way to the ocean?
The organization’s spokesperson couldn’t contain their excitement, mentioning that the weather was just spot-on. And here’s a fun fact: they had an impressive 93 percent hatching rate for the eggs. That’s pretty amazing, right?
But here’s the bittersweet part: only 1 out of every 100 sea turtles will make it to adulthood. It’s a tough world out there for these little guys. That’s why they’re a protected species in Mexico.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope many of these babies grow up to be majestic adults, swimming freely in the vast oceans. Cheers to the Los Cabos team for their incredible work!
