The 4,500 inhabitants population of La Ribera on the East Cape, home to the Costa Palmas development is expected to grow to 25,000 or 30,000 in the next 10 years, said government delegate Miguel Mijares. Just in the next 2 years, it will double its population to 9,000 people. La Ribera is home to the large Costa Palmas development, with includes the Four Seasons resort and residences and the Hacienda de Palmas and Vista La Ribera Hotels.
