Bending to pressure from San Jose and Cabo San Lucas business owners, the city government has agreed to put a cap on noise coming from bars, restaurants and discotheques. Nothing was mentioned of private parties. Starting this weekend, the highest noise level allowed will be 80 decibels. In the state of California, any noise more than 50 decibels is considered a nuisance. Let’s see how inspectors enforce this new regulation with no noise level meters. Ha!
