At a meeting held yesterday afternoon at the City Hall in San Jose, Mayor Oscar Leggs and UBER representatives came to a healthy agreement. The government will stop harassing UBER drivers, and the latter agreed not to block the highway. A second meeting will take place this Thursday August 11 as negotiations continue. Unless the state congress include UBER and similar Apps as legal transportation services, they remain outlaws. The power of the taxi cartels is huge, but the times are a’changing… Perhaps the local inhabitants that support UBER could hold a sit down outside of City Hall in support of them?
