Laying 65 eggs in a nest on a Cabo San Lucas beach. The eggs have been picked up and transferred to a new nest under protection of the Sea Turtle Protection Network. This specific sea turtle was an Olive Ridley (Lepidochelys olivacea). The species is the second-smallest and most abundant of all sea turtles found in the world in warm and tropical waters, primarily in the Pacific and Indian Oceans, but also in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The eggs are expected to hatch in 45 days, when the baby turtles will be released to sea.
